From regular, twice daily cleaning schedules to attentive care, we prioritize the cleanliness of our stables to provide the best possible home for our equine residents.
Riding Arena
Our regulation size riding arena at Mountain View Barns is well maintained to ensure the safety and well being of both horse and rider. It provides ample room to comfortably walk, trot and cantor. Horse owners can feel confident knowing that their beloved companions have a spacious outdoor area to exercise and enjoy your companionship.
Paddock and Pastures
The paddock and pasture on our expansive grounds provides the perfect setting for horses to relax, roam and graze in the fresh air of northwestern Vermont.
Horseback Riding
Riding
At Mountain View Barns, we offer a diverse and well-maintained riding area, and there’s a local trail system that caters to riders of all skill levels. The trails wind through picturesque landscapes, providing riders with a unique opportunity to explore the beauty of nature while enjoying their equestrian adventures.
Amenities
To ensure a comfortable riding experience, we provide well-marked trails, ample parking facilities, and clean rest areas for riders and their horses. Our team regularly maintains the trails to guarantee optimal safety and enjoyment for all visitors.
On Site Activities
Camping
Feeling adventurous? Bring along a backpack, tent, water, some provisions and hike a quarter mile up into the woods to our campsite. Enjoy a 12’ X 16’ above ground tent platform, fire pit, table, camp stove and folding chairs and experience nighttime with the wildlife under a canopy of green.
Swimming Hole
As you can see from some of the pictures you’ve viewed so far, we have an 80’ X 130’ pond with crystal clear sparkling spring water for your swimming pleasure – along with our 25 trout friends.
Hot Tub
After a quick swim in the 60-degree water of our Swimming Hole, rush back to the 104-degree hot tub adjacent to the entrance of your lower level suite to take the chill off and relax with a fine glass of wine if you’re so inclined.
